What is a 'Huehnerschreck'?

Dieses Wunderwerk der Technik ist allgemein als "Hühnerschreck" bekannt geworden. Speziell für das
Erzgebirge und den Thüringer Wald gab es sogar wenige Prototypen des Fahrradhilfsmotors mit Zusatzgebläse. Ab einer Steigung von mehr als 10 Prozent gilt: Absteigen und Schieben.

 Gebaut in den Jahren 1954 - 1959 im Messgeräte- und Armaturenwerk Magdeburg (MAW) war dieser Fahrradanbaumotor besonders in ländlichen Gegenden verbreitet. Und wer einmal mit so einem “Hackenwärmer” fuhr, kennt das einzigartige Fahrgefühl.
